HIGH SCHOOL / PREP INFORMATION

• High school and Prep schools are welcome at “ SpringFling “.

• 2009 will be fourth year of prep practices, scrimmages and games at “ SpringFling “.

• Practice scheduling done same as colleges: at least two hours per day guaranteed, coaches may request up to four hours per day. Field and time availability determines allotment.

• “ Game scrimmages “ are held for the preps. Two contests plus the round robin scrimmage as part of GKD Fee. ( $2100 ). Additional game scrimmages available for additional $300.

• Round robin scrimmage dates to be announced. 25 minute running time sequences, each team will have 4 to 6 scrimmage tineframes.
Total number of teams determines eventual numbers.

• Game scrimmages will have three officials ( in most cases ) with staff and clock operation.

• Contests versus Florida High Schools must “ count “ under latest Florida High School State Association guidelines.

• Weeks available in 2009 will be from March 13 – 28 for prep competition.

• Athletic trainer is provided at game sites. ATC will be on hand at practices if a collegiate or prep game is underway at the same site as the prep practice session.

• Out of state prep coaches are urged to communicate with the same vendors ( for ground transport, air, housing, etc. ) as listed for the colleges on the “ SpringFling “ site.

• GKD will schedule practice and game scrimmage times and dates. Coaches may certainly send along “ preferred options “ as to opponents and game dates / times.
